About Mrs. Moan...

I love being a part of the Walsh and District 92 family!  I have 19 years of elementary music teaching experience.  I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in vocal performance and music education.  I am a Lockport resident, over in the Kelvin/Milne Grove district, and I enjoy working so close to home.  I have a daughter and a son at LTHS. My husband is a High School Choir and Musical Director in District 230.  My family enjoys traveling, spending time outside, being active and making all kinds of music together.  We also have 2 dogs, Opie and Jack, 6 minnows and 6 snails.

My favorite ages to teach are my smallest primary students.  I can't wait to introduce your children to the wonderful world of music-making.  See you soon!

Students come to music class once a week.

EC students will gain social and emotional connections through singing and playing.

Kindergarten

Students come to music class 2 times a week.

Our district uses GamePlan, a fantastic music curriculum platform.  GamePlan is an active music curriculum that utilizes imitation, exploration, improvisation and visualization.  I especially enjoy this curriculum because of its devotion to rich folk literature, nursery rhymes, authentic dances and traditional play party games.

Students will learn about rhythm, melody, harmony, form and timbre.
